Our Cinema is a shared movie-night tracker for couples, friends and families: one watchlist, one history of what you watched together, and everyone's ratings side by side.
Our Cinema started with a note on my phone. For years, I kept a running list of every movie my partner and I watched together. It was simple — just movie titles and dates — but over time, that little list became something I really loved looking back on. It wasn't just a record of movies. It was a record of us.
Eventually, I wanted a little more from it. I wanted to remember which movies we loved, which ones we absolutely did not, and all the opinions, inside jokes, and little notes that came with them.
I loved the idea of the ratings and movie journals that already existed online, but I didn't want another social network. I didn't want followers. I didn't want likes. I didn't need to know what everyone else was watching. I wanted a space that was just ours.
So I built Our Cinema. It's a place for couples, friends, families, and whoever you share movie nights with to keep a shared history of the movies you've watched together — along with your ratings, thoughts, favorites, and memories.
And because movie night isn't only about looking back, Our Cinema also helps with the question that somehow takes longer to answer than actually watching the movie: “Okay... so what do you want to watch?”
Keep the movies you want to see in one shared place, find something when nobody can decide, plan your next movie night, and slowly build a collection that becomes more meaningful the longer you use it.
